Maple Dijon Dressing

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 cup Dijon mustard
  • 1/4 cup pure maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup white wine vinegar
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • In a medium-sized bowl, combine 1/4 cup of Dijon mustard and 1/4 cup of pure maple syrup.
  • Gradually whisk in 1/4 cup of white wine vinegar into the Dijon mustard and maple syrup mixture.
  • While continuing to whisk, slowly drizzle in 1/2 cup of olive oil. This step emulsifies the dressing, creating a smooth and creamy texture.
  • Don't forget to add a pinch of salt and a dash of freshly ground black pepper to taste. Adjust the seasoning as needed to suit your palate.
  • It's essential to give your dressing a little taste test at this point. Adjust the balance of flavors if necessary. You might want to add a bit more vinegar for tang or maple syrup for sweetness, depending on your preference.
