Air Fry Chicken Drumsticks

Natasha Pehrson Print Recipe
air fry chicken drumsticks
Costco's pre-seasoned drumsticks, paired with the magic of the air fryer, make it possible to enjoy crispy and flavorful chicken without the hassle!
Yield 2
Total Time 20 minutes

Ingredients

  • Pre-seasoned chicken drumsticks from Costco
  • Cooking spray optional

Instructions

  • Preheat your air fryer to 400 degrees Fahrenheit (200 degrees Celsius).
  • Place the pre-seasoned drumsticks in the air fryer basket, making sure they're not overcrowded. If needed, cook in batches to maintain airflow for even cooking.
  • Optionally, lightly spray the drumsticks with cooking spray. This helps enhance the crispiness of the skin.
  • Cook the drumsticks for 16 minutes, flipping them halfway through the cooking time. This ensures that both sides get that beautiful golden color and crisp texture.
  • Check the internal temperature of the drumsticks using a meat thermometer. The chicken should reach a minimum internal temperature of 165 degrees Fahrenheit (74 degrees Celsius) to ensure they're fully cooked and safe to eat.
  • Once they've reached the desired temperature, remove the drumsticks from the air fryer and let them rest for a few minutes. This allows the juices to be redistributed, ensuring a juicy bite.

Notes

You can always use regular chicken thighs and season in your preferred spices!
Here's how I season mine if they aren't pre-seasoned:
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon oregano
