Air Fryer Garlic Green Beans

Natasha Pehrson Print Recipe
Green beans often find themselves relegated to the sidelines of our plates, overshadowed by more glamorous vegetables. But it's time to these to have their moment in the spotlight. Air-Fried Garlic Green Beans – a snack or side dish that's bound to leave you craving more.
Prep Time 5 minutes
Cook Time 12 minutes
Total Time 17 minutes

Ingredients

  • Fresh green beans - You can use frozen, but fresh green beans yield better results
  • Avocado oil spray
  • Garlic powder
  • Salt

Instructions

  • 1. Begin by selecting fresh green beans. Wash them thoroughly and trim off the ends.
  • 2. Season: Lay out the washed and trimmed green beans on a flat surface. Give them a light mist of avocado oil spray. This not only adds a touch of healthy fat but also helps the seasonings adhere. Sprinkle on a generous pinch of garlic powder and a light dusting of salt.
  • 3. Air-Fry: Preheat your air fryer to 400 degrees Fahrenheit (approximately 200 degrees Celsius). Once heated, place the seasoned green beans into the air fryer basket in a single layer. Avoid overcrowding, as this ensures even cooking and optimal crispness.
  • 4. Set the timer for around 12 minutes. Halfway through the cooking time, pause the air fryer and give the basket a gentle shake. This prevents the beans from sticking together and allows them to cook evenly. The result? Green beans that are perfectly crisp on the outside and delightfully tender on the inside.
  • 5. Once cooked, plate them up as a side dish to your main course (See my Garlic Steak Bites below!) or serve them as a tempting snack.
