Hey there! Today, we’re diving deep into something that’s been a game-changer for me – daily routines! Trust me, they’re like your trusty GPS guiding you toward your weight loss goals.
Picture your daily routine as the roadmap to success. It’s all about consistency, and we know consistency equals results, right? That’s where our morning and evening routines come into play – they’re the bookends of your day, setting the stage for whatever life throws your way in between.
Morning Routines
Now, I’ve read countless personal development books that suggest intricate morning and evening routines with a gazillion steps. But I have found that your routine should be simple, doable, and time-efficient. Starting with three to five key habits that you can consistently stick to will keep you more consistent.
So, what does my morning routine look like? I wake up, use the restroom, step on the scale, and then get to work on my hydration by drinking some water – simple and effective. Then, I like to put on my workout clothes, not necessarily to work out but to set the intention of being active later. Clever, right?
Your morning routine might include drinking water, a bit of exercise like a walk or stretch, or even a balanced breakfast. If you’re an early bird, you can tweak your routine to incorporate healthy habits that align with your schedule.
Evening Routines
Now, let’s talk about evening routines. These are your chill-out moments, where you wind down and prepare for a restful night’s sleep. It could involve reading, journaling, stretching, or simply putting away your phone. Make it your ritual to relax, and don’t forget to cue your body that bedtime is approaching – just like we do for our kids.
As for me, I love sipping on some magnesium-infused Moon Juice in sparkling water – it’s my signal to hit the sack. Your evening routine might also involve reflecting on your day, celebrating your wins, and setting intentions for tomorrow.
Remember, it’s essential to strike a balance between discipline and flexibility in your routines. Life can be unpredictable, so don’t hesitate to adapt when necessary. Your routine should serve you, not stress you out.
