Welcome back to our tropical journey through Turks and Caicos, where every day brings new adventures and unforgettable memories. Day 3 of our family vacation was a mix of thrilling parasailing, waterpark excitement, and a romantic beachfront anniversary dinner. Join us as we recount the highlights of this extraordinary day.
Slow Morning and Scenic Breakfast at Bayside
After staying up late the previous night watching a thrilling shark movie, we all decided to take it easy and sleep in a bit. Once we were up and about, we made our way to Bayside, the resort’s restaurant known for its unbeatable views. Breakfast with a view of the pristine waters and serene beaches was the perfect way to start our day.
Beachside Hair Braiding and Spontaneous Parasailing
Gretchen had a unique request for the day – to get her hair braided. We headed down to the beach and found a local expert to work her magic on Gretchen’s hair. While Gretchen was getting her hair done, an opportunity for adventure presented itself. A friendly local approached us and asked if we’d like to go parasailing. We had originally planned to visit the waterpark, but the allure of parasailing in Turks and Caicos was impossible to resist. So, Gretchen, Ralph, David, and I eagerly agreed.
The experience of parasailing was nothing short of magical. As we soared above the azure waters, the views of the reef and crystal-clear ocean below took our breath away. Gretchen and I even managed to stick a perfect landing when we descended back to the beach.
Waterpark Adventures
Upon our return to solid ground, we picked up the little ones from Kids Camp and made our way to the waterpark for an action-packed afternoon. We spent hours floating lazily along the river, racing down the water slides, splashing around the interactive splash pad, and testing our surfing skills on the surf simulator. The waterpark offered endless fun for the entire family.
Sunset Family Photos and Beach Anniversary Dinner
After a full day of sun and excitement, we returned to our room to freshen up for a special occasion – sunset family photos on the beach. Capturing these precious moments against the backdrop of the setting sun was a memory we couldn’t pass up.
Following the photo shoot, Alan and Claire were understandably exhausted from their day in the sun and promptly fell into a deep slumber. We arranged for one of the resort’s nannies to stay with them while they slept, ensuring their safety and comfort.
With the little ones well taken care of, we dropped Gretchen and Ralph off at the kids’ club for a reggae dance party. Dave and I seized the opportunity for a romantic, candlelit anniversary dinner on the beach. The ambiance was nothing short of enchanting, and the evening had an undeniable “bachelor” energy.
Final Sweet Treats
After a delightful dinner, we picked up the kids and, of course, couldn’t resist making one last stop at “Curls and Swirls” for some delicious ice cream before heading back to our room.
Day 3 of our Turks and Caicos adventure was filled with exhilarating activities, heartwarming moments, and a dash of romance. Stay tuned for more as we continue to explore this tropical paradise with our family.
