We left for Paris today! In fact, I am writing this blog post on the airplane – our travel day started at 9am when we left our house, we got on our first flight at 1:30pm PST to Seattle, left Seattle around 7pm, and we will be arriving tomorrow at 1:30pm Paris time…quite a long travel day.
And this trip is especially special because it has been on my vision board for years. Not Paris, but going on a Top 10 Trip.
Every year, BODi awards the Top 10 Partners in the network with a first-class vacation to another country. I remember when I first started back in 2015 watching the Top 10 coaches go to places like Bora Bora, Italy, and France. I always knew that was something I wanted to earn – not just for a cool vacation – but because earning it also meant growing a big business and helping a lot of people change their lives.
Last year, our team started the year on fire so I set it as a goal to end the year not just in the Top 10 – but NUMBER 1! I knew that the trip this year would be in Paris, so I added a picture of the Eiffel Tower to my vision board to represent the goal.
And we did it! NUMBER 1 BABY!
Being the top team wasn’t something I did by myself – it happened because the women that I mentor in this business had, and are continuing to have success!
My best friend, Jess, who I met through Beachbody, ended last year leading the number 3 team and earned this trip too so we met up with her and her husband in Seattle and are flying together.
So here we are – on our way to freaking PARIS to celebrate with our best friends!
Dave and I were talking on the flight from Phoenix to Seattle about all the movies we’ve seen featuring Paris and the only two we could come up with was Passport To Paris and Home Alone. We joked about reenacting them except I don’t think people on the plane would appreciate me screaming “Kevin!” lol. BUUUUTTT I did come up with this – nothing beats a good ol’ Olsen Twins movie!
Leaving the kids was harder on us than it was on them. Grandma Pam flew in from Washington to stay with them for the week so the kids are excited to spend time with her, plus we have an amazing nanny who the kids are obsessed with that is helping too.
Leaving Alan was the hardest – he is 5 months old today and growing so fast – he is seriously huge! Being my fourth though, it was a little easier. I feel comfortable knowing he is in good hands not to mention Gretchen and Ralph are amazing older siblings and help so much. I am excited that all of our kids are going to get 1-on-1 quality time to bond with grandma and think it will be really special for all of them.
We decided to leave a day early to hopefully adjust to the time zone before all the festivities start.
A few hours after we land we have a reservation for High Tea (not sure if we will make it though because our flight left about 45 minutes late and who knows how long it will take to get through customs.) Then we will probably find a place to have dinner and then call it a night.
This trip is 100% covered by BODi and they are flying us first class internationally so we have the seats that recline all the way down into beds. I was originally planning on sleeping on the plane, but I’m so excited and have so much adrenaline I don’t think that is going to happen. I might lay down and close my eyes and maybe try to sleep for an hour or two before landing…then just power through the rest of the day and go to bed early. I’m just all kinds of messed up though because as we are flying it is getting lighter and lighter outside. I have no concept of what day or time it even is. I did put in my curlband and some zit patches on my chin for the night so I’m ready for bed.
Until tomorrow!
