5 Breakfasts Under 5 Minutes

We’ve all heard the age-old adage that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and I couldn’t agree more. However, I also understand that hectic mornings often leave us with limited time to prepare a wholesome breakfast. But fret not, because today, I’ve got you covered with some super easy breakfast ideas that you can whip up in under 5 minutes!

Banana Berry Yogurt

Ingredients

– 3/4 cup plain Greek yogurt

– 1/2 cup blueberries

– 1/4 banana

Instructions

1. Start by mashing or slicing the banana.

2. Mix all the ingredients together in a bowl.

This delightful Banana Berry Yogurt is not only quick but also packed with protein and antioxidants, providing you with a healthy and delicious start to your day.

Egg Nest

Ingredients

– 1 piece of whole-grain toast

– 1 egg

Instructions

1. Punch a hole in the center of the bread and save the part you punched out.

2. Spray a pan with non-stick cooking spray and place the bread in the pan.

3. Crack the egg into the hole in the bread.

4. Cook the egg to your desired liking, flipping it once the first side is done.

Southwest Scramble

Ingredients

  • 2 eggs

  • 1 tsp. olive oil

  • 1 cup chopped veggies (I usually prep a bunch of random veggies on the weekend and use them throughout the week.  My favorites are green peppers, onions, and mushrooms.  Pictured is spinach.)

  • 1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese

  • 1 tsp. Southwest Seasoning 

Instructions

1. Begin by sautéing your choice of chopped veggies in olive oil.

2. While the veggies cook, whisk the eggs in a bowl.

3. Add the eggs and Southwest Seasoning to the veggies.

4. Once everything is cooked through, sprinkle in the shredded cheddar cheese and stir until it’s beautifully melted.

This Southwest Scramble is a savory and protein-packed breakfast that will kickstart your day with a burst of flavor and nutrients.

Apple Peanut Butter Oatmeal

Ingredients

– 1/2 cup cooked oatmeal

– 1/2 apple, sliced

– 1 tbsp. peanut butter

– Cinnamon (for garnish)

Instructions

1. Cook the oatmeal according to the instructions on the box.

2. Mix in the peanut butter and sliced apples.

3. Top it off with a sprinkle of cinnamon for an extra burst of flavor.
