- 3 large ripe bananas about 1.5 cups mashed
- 1/2 cup runny nut butter e.g., almond, peanut
- 2 eggs
- 2/3 cup chocolate protein powder or cocoa powder
- 3 tbsp maple syrup
- 1/4 tsp baking soda
- Pinch of salt
- Chocolate chips I use no sugar added, measure with your heart!
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line an 8×8 inch pyrex dish with parchment paper and set aside.
- In a large mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas until smooth.
- Add the runny nut butter to the mashed bananas and mix until well combined.
- Crack in the eggs and beat them into the banana-nut butter mixture until smooth.
- Incorporate the chocolate protein powder (or cocoa powder) into the mixture, stirring until evenly distributed.
- Pour in the maple syrup and mix well.
- Add the baking soda and a pinch of salt to the batter, stirring until everything is fully combined.
- If desired, fold in chocolate chips into the batter according to your preference.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pyrex dish, spreading it out evenly.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 12 minutes.
- Once done, remove the brownies from the oven and allow them to cool in the dish for a few minutes before slicing into squares and serving.
